Treasure beneath!!! This is a level crossing somewhere inside Palakkad. There is a railway line beneath the thick foliage. That is the under-conversion, Palakkad-Pollachi railway line.

The saga called Gauge Conversion: This is the status of a railway bridge near Palakkad. The line that was once carried by the bridge connected Palakkad to Pollachi (and beyond to a very vast MG network, in this hey days). Notice one girder lying in a displaced state
